Lee was working on the front porch and I was sweeping the front porch. Lee went to the garage to get a tool while coming back he said come quick it is an emergency. I went to the side of the house there laid the robin's nest and 4 baby birds that had been twenty feet up on the side of the house. Lee said it just fell off. He scooped the baby birds up and put them in the nest. We looked around where to put the nest that mother bird could find them. The only thing was a hanging flower basket so we put it in and went and waited on the porch to see if you could find them. She found them right away but did not like the flower pot.

We went to supper at Bernadine's house. When we came home I went upstairs to put the windows up. and I saw a bird flying around. It was a little wren. We don't know how it got in. After getting the wren out. We watched the nest and saw mother bird was now feeding them. There is only three now one died from the fall.
Those baby birds are pretty cute. Will they just stay in your flower pot now until they're big enough to fly off? And what did they do with the one that died? Did they remove the body from the nest or is it still there?
ReplyDeleteMother bird feeds them all day long. I still have to water my flower so I get a close up look at them. They think I am going to feed them. They are growing fast. They are getting feathers they were mostly skin when they fell. Daddy took the dead one out they were just sitting on it. There was not room for 4 birds in that nest. I know when mother bird is near because they start screaming and jumping up and down. From the house it looks like my flowers are alive. I was weeding around the house and mother bird followed me to see if I pulled up any worms.
