The Big Ditch

After three years of clearing land behind 129 Mill Street, Rimersburg.  The Big Ditch was exposed.  It was wide and deep.  The drainage water from Rimersburg was discharged out at the bottom of the field and starting at 129 Mill Street made the Big Ditch.

Lee cut stones with his mason team of Alan and Sandy out in the woods .  Then his construction team Eric, Sam and TL made a catch basin at the outlet.  Then  helped put the bottom pipe in.

Working hard on the Big Ditch!

Redbank Rails to Trails

Today we biked on the Redbank rails to trails for the first time.  We have hiked it several time in different places but this is the first time with the bikes. We biked six miles down till the Redbank river met the Allegany river then we biked back.  We saw a bald eagle on the way down and the way back but didn't get a picture.  That was the only wild life we saw. We know three people who have seen a bear and cub along this parts of the trail.

Lee found a fresh chicken mushroom along trail.  I am going to make white bean chili with it tomorrow.

New England Rails and Lighthouses

June 11-16, 2016 we went on our first bus tour. It was a great success. We loved it.  We were treated like Kings and Queens. We did 2 train tours, 2 boat tours and 1 bus tour. The hotel rooms were are really nice and the food everywhere was wonderful.  Most of meals were part of the tour.
We stayed one night in Cape Cod and got to visit the town for a couple of hours.
We visited Plymouth Rock and spent a couple of hours visiting the little town there.  We had a lobster roll there. Yum, yum!

Winter Fun Time

Today we finally got enough snow to go 4-WD in the Jeep.   We brought the jeep this summer so we could go on the back roads in the winter.   We like to take the No Winter Maintenance roads.  We had a fun time going on roads that had not be plowed.  At one time it was a white out it was snowing so hard.
